She had a much more recognizable role as Arthur Curry’s (Jason Momoa) love interest and companion in Atlantis in 2018’s Aquaman, falling off the impact points of that film industry disaster. That picture was a commercial success, grossing more than $1 billion worldwide. Earlier this year, she had a cameo in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

The most recent picture, which appears on her Instagram profile, shows the performer in workout gear stretched out on a story mat, appearing exhausted, seems to be an intense activity. Heard captioned the picture, “One more day at the office,” implying that the exercise took place on the Aquaman 2 sets.

This picture was taken during Heard’s ongoing spat with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. During their court battle last year, the prior couple accused each other for verbal and physical abuse. After Warner Bros. forced Depp to quit the Fantastic Beasts franchise, many people demanded that the same thing happen to Heard. This sparked rumors that she was fired from Aquaman 2, which were later debunked. A producer recently seemed to publicly support Heard, claiming that fan pressure had no bearing on their decision to keep her on.

Regardless of what anybody thinks of the decision, James Wan and the Aquaman cast have extended an open invitation to Heard to return. She seems to be excited to return and play Mera, as shown by the numerous workout postings, and she is taking the preparation very seriously. Also, the DC FanDome is coming up this Fall, and it would be a wonderful chance for the Aquaman 2 cast to make a big entrance, looking fit and gorgeous, ahead of the film’s release.
